Darkness cannot drive out darkness -
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate -
only love can do that.
Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
On some positions, cowardice asks
the question, is it expedient?
And then expedience comes along and
asks the question, is it politic?
Vanity asks the question, is it popular?
Conscience asks the question, is it right?
There comes a time when one must take the position
that is neither safe nor politic nor popular,
but he must do it because conscience tells him
it is right.
No one really knows why they are alive...
...until they know what they'd die for.
